Regarding me and John...

Today is the day that binds us together. One alpha, one omega. One entering, one exiting. He held his hand over us in love, while loving hands held me up to the warm sun in a winter sky.

We passed each other with a glance that acknowledged the cruelty of this world. He'd done all he could and would leave it up to me. I'll take it all, and go on loving for those who no longer can.
